Six round tables to discuss the transformations in the art system, a round table to respond to the new Culture Decree and an event open to the public.

The future of Italian art galleries, the transformations in art collecting and the relationship with the new generations, the role of public museums in the economic crisis, the support policies for the most vulnerable galleries, the growing autonomy of artists in the management of their works, the critical issues of the new Culture Decree and the prospects for the entire Italian art sector.
These are the topics that ITALICS – the institutional network founded in 2020 and now including seventy-four of the leading galleries of ancient, modern and contemporary art based in Italy – chooses to address on 24 February 2025 on the occasion of the third edition of the ITALICS FORUM.
This edition of the Forum, realised in collaboration with Fondazione Donnaregina per le Arti Contemporanee – museo Madre, is an important opportunity for discussing and reflecting on the art system. An event designed to encourage dialogue on the role of galleries as cultural enterprises that brings together experts in the sector to address central themes in the current cultural panorama.
The first part of the day takes place behind closed doors for the associated gallerists. From 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., the associated gallerists are called to meet around six different working tables to analyse the transformations and the future of the art system.
From 3.00 p.m. to 5.00 p.m., the ITALICS FORUM continues with the round table entitled DECRETO CULTURA: PROSSIME AZIONI DI SENSIBILIZZAZIONE [DECREE CULTURE: PROSPECTIVE ACTIONS].
