I have been visiting Morterone as long as I can remember. Nestled in the valley of Manzoni\u2019s Monte Resegone, this place of unspoilt nature also became a radiant centre of thought in the middle of the 1980s. A \u201cpoetic threshold\u201d that offers an opportunity to experience a new, positive relationship between humans and nature, landscape and thought, experience and knowledge, as suggested by Carlo Invernizzi\u2019s poetic\/philosophical concept of Natura Naturans<\/g>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The tangible sign of it is the Museo d\u2019Arte Contemporanea all\u2019Aperto<\/a>: an outdoor contemporary art museum offering more than thirty works of art \u2013 some immersed in the natural setting, others in dialogue with the buildings of the village \u2013 created by leading international artists. The Associazione Culturale Amici of Morterone also organises exhibitions in Italy and abroad, conferences and publications that stimulate thought through experience and set up a permanent dialogue between art, poetry and nature. In summer 2021, a new space will open here: the Casa dell\u2019Arte, entirely devoted to artists whose work cannot be displayed outdoors. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
