Giacomo Balla’s House Museum reopens this spring for guided tours as part of a project curated by the MAXXI Museum. Located in the Prati district of Rome, at 39B Via Oslavia, this is the apartment where the great Futurist artist Giacomo Balla (Turin, 1871 – Rome, 1958) lived with his wife Elisa from 1929 until 1958, the year of his death, and where his daughters Elica and Luce lived until the 1990s. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The apartment, which has remained closed until now, has been restored to its original splendor after a long and complex restoration supervised by the Soprintendenza, in collaboration with the Soprintendenza Speciale di Roma Archeologia Belle Arti e Paesaggio, the support of the Direzione Generale Creativit\u00e0 Contemporanea of the MiBACT and the contribution of Banca d’Italia. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Thanks to an agreement with the heirs, through the program Casa Balla. Dalla casa all\u2019universo e ritorno (Casa Balla.
