In the Piedmontese municipality of Guarene, set amidst the green hills of San Licerio, stands the Art Park of permanent sculptures of the Fondazione Sandretto Re Rebaudengo<\/a>. In this corner of the landscape in the heart of those hills scored by rows of Roero vineyards, the Fondazione inaugurated its new open-air spaces dedicated to contemporary art in 2019.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This place owes its magic to the meeting and balanced dialogue between nature and the works of contemporary artists from all over the world, which rise up among the pear orchards and rows of Nebbiolo grapevines. As you walk along the promenade, you feel nature accompanying you towards the discovery of one work after another, with unusual glimpses and ever-changing viewpoints, caught up in contemplating the vast surrounding scenery.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Among the sculptures on view are Vehicle (Amphibian) <\/em>by Carsten H\u00f6ller<\/strong> (1999), Flat Earth Visa<\/em> by Paul Kneale<\/strong> (2019), Rise<\/em> by Marguerite Humeau<\/strong> (2021) and In ognuno la traccia di ognuno<\/em> by Marinella Senatore<\/strong> (2023). <\/p>\n\n\n

The text at the centre of the last sculpture, commissioned from the artist by the Fondazione Sandretto Re Rebaudengo, has an important symbolic value related to the collective aspect of the work. The phrase \u201cIn ognuno la traccia di ognuno\u201d [In everyone, the trace of everyone] is a quotation from a poem by Primo Levi, \u2018Agli Amici\u2019 from 1985, a verse that celebrates the power of ties, community and memory. The quotation was selected through a public call to the citizens of Guarene, perfectly fitting into the context of these places that are so full of history and beauty.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
