Every time I pass through Florence, I can’t help but stop at the Art&Libri bookshop in Via dei Fossi, one of the historical addresses<\/a> in Florence for those interested in the world of antiques. Here I can browse through all the new publications, from all over the world, even the most impossible to find. In the photo I am consulting the catalog (published by Allemandi<\/a>) of the collection of a friend and colleague, the eclectic Gian Enzo Sperone, a man of infinite curiosity. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

In his career as a gallerist, Gian Enzo has created a bridge between the United States and Italy, introducing American Pop Art in Italy and Italian Transavanguardia in the United States. But as a collector<\/g>, Gian Enzo ranges from archaeology to contemporary art, from furniture to the applied arts, demonstrating that there are no breaks but only continuity in the history of art and culture. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
