We can speak of a true rebirth of the city of Milan in recent years, starting with the international success of Expo 2015. And many of the museums I am fond of, from the Pinacoteca di Brera to the Poldi Pezzoli Museum (located just a short distance from my gallery), have taken advantage of this novelty. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

I often return to the rooms of Brera<\/a>, and I hope it will soon reopen its doors to the public after the closure caused by the coronavirus outbreak. My relationship with this Milanese institution has grown over the years, and since December 2020 I have been president of the historic Friends of Brera Association<\/a><\/g>, committed to the protection and enhancement of this extraordinary complex. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

I would like to mention a donation I made to the museum in 2014: the bronze bust of the great poet and author Vincenzo Monti, a work by the sculptor Abbondio Sangiorgio (1833), once placed right on the gallery\u2019s loggia. Today it is found in the last room of the Museum, the one also displaying the famous Bacio<\/g> by Francesco Hayez. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
