A large door close to Piazza Farnese opens onto Soledad Twombly’s wunderkammer, that is, her boutique, L’Archivio di Monserrato. Argentinean by birth and Italian by adoption, Soledad opened her first fashion atelier in New York in 1994, inaugurating it with the style of elegance and originality that has made her known throughout the world.

After moving to Rome in 1999, her home-atelier in Via Gregoriana, open by appointment only, soon became a coveted and unmissable destination on the contemporary Grand Tour. In 2017, she opened L’Archivio di Monserrato, where her extraordinary research on textiles – nourished by a lifetime of journeys to distant lands – merges with a passion for interior decoration and for the best of the creative genius of Italian craftsmanship that Soledad often hosts in her marvelous showcase.
